“We’ve always known not all members of Congress are religious...They thought it was politically dangerous. Now we’re learning that it’s not so dangerous anymore...The fastest-growing religious idea right now in the country is nonreligious”

  1. Hopefully as time goes on, more outwardly secular people and viewpoints will become a staple of mainstream american politics. As demographics shift, it will be very important for their to be more secular representation in government.

I agree with Ben here; hopefully, more secular individuals will become more prominent in mainstream politics and, even more hopefully, they will encourage our government to shift to a more grounded base than "One nation under God". I see this shift happening sooner rather than later, based on the current state of the U.S.'s affairs; this fanfare will, I hope, result in significant change for the better...
