A student in CoPhi posted a nice little slideshow on secular humanism, suggesting that humanists aren't interested in "existential msytery" etc. But Sagan sure was.

This makes me think on the entire idea of free will in Abrahamic religion. If we are truly beings who are given free will then should there be a self-worth that was given to us from birth? Shouldn't we all have the drive Mr Sagan talks of due to our given free will?
