I kinda understand how you feel about your mother, I'm very afraid my parents and likely most of my family wont ever really know me. I too question "pretending" for too long.

Just remember, we can not change the past and even if we could there is no promise it would work out any better.

~RadianceRadiancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02922754891373628290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7609541124817386376.post-30712480445840173992012-05-03T17:34:12.570-05:002012-05-03T17:34:12.570-05:00Thanks, David,

I had a similar experience at about the same age, when they packed me off to the Southern Baptists' Camp Ridgecrest in North Carolina. I don't recall ever being encouraged to depict my friends in hell, but neither did anyone there encourage me to admit that there were questions neither I nor my counselors or ministers or anyone could settle. I wasn't "born a natural skeptic" but like you I came to it pretty early on, prodded by the superstitious intolerance of my elders. How differently things might have gone for us both, had they sent us off instead to Camp Inquiry? http://www.campinquiry.org/Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02115141650963300011noreply@blogger.com
